Income Generation

This project seeks to strengthen social safety nets in order to reduce the negative effects of rising and fluctuating food prices–especially protein food sources – on the poor and the vulnerable. With Yemen importing more than three-quarters of its food needs, the war and targeting of food sources and farms has increased the vulnerability of the population and further increased food prices. The goal of the project is to enable poor and vulnerable families in Yemen to generate income in a sustainable way in order to improve their food security, self-reliance, and dignity in a time of severe deprivation because of  the ongoing conflict. We have projects in Hajjah, Saada and Sana’s Governorates.
